Darkforged is a loot-driven browser ARPG for one player. Fight through a Mir-style world, compare affixes on magic and rare gear and keep the pieces that help your class. Legendary powers and set bonuses give you combinations to work toward; normal socketed gear can become a runeword. Salvage unwanted items, enchant a chosen affix or reforge eligible gear at the workshop. Darkforged and Classic share a site sign-in, while their characters, equipment and saves stay separate.

Rarity, item level, individual affixes and requirements decide whether an item is useful. Open equipment management from the workshop or recipe book to filter, compare side by side and lock favourites. There is no power score doing the thinking for you.
The runes are named Rune 1 through Rune 8. A normal base of the right type with the exact number of sockets becomes a runeword when you insert its runes in the listed order. You get the runes’ stats and the word’s own effects.
Some items roll a reduced required level that applies to that item only. Check the final required level and you can wear advanced gear sooner.
Legendary powers, set bonuses and runewords all work together in combat. Equip your first upgrade during the starter quests, then plan your build from there.
Advanced-character gameplay, not starting rewards: these captures use an advanced demonstration character to show equipment and combat. New characters start with the introductory quests. These historical captures retain the old rune names; use Rune 1 through Rune 8 and the current in-game recipes. Historical screenshots and videos may show an older layout; open equipment management from the workshop or recipe book.
Characters, bags and progress belong only to Darkforged and cannot be imported, merged or overwritten by Classic. Site sign-in is shared. Game sign-in enables automatic cloud sync; you can turn it off in-game. Confirm sync results in this game’s cloud panel.

Darkforged is single-player. The shared community and game-specific leaderboards let players discuss and compare their adventures; they do not add a shared multiplayer world, parties or player trading.
They are two independent games. Darkforged keeps the classes and world but has different equipment, crafting and drop rules, and its own characters and saves.
